The Angel Pick-Up

“Are not all the angels ministering spirits sent out by God to serve (Accompany, Protect) those who will inherit salvation? Of course they are!” Hebrews 1:14 AMP

Less than two weeks ago, I kissed my husband goodbye one morning. Not long after that moment I came home to find his lifeless body on the floor of our closet.

HARDEST OF HARDS

Nothing in life prepares you for a moment such as this EXCEPT seeking and getting to know Jesus through His Word, before the tragedy hits.

It’s a lifetime of preparation. When a tragic and life altering moment happens like the one I have experienced, I KNOW Him by faith, even though I am still having difficulty FEELING Him.

For days, I kept replaying that moment, with my heart shredding each time.

Then, The Lord reminded me of what I have learned and studied about in His Word.

One of the ministries of the angels is to accompany the Believer who has died, into the presence of Jesus.

That was a shade of comfort to my still-stunned soul. I placed Larry’s Bible at the place of the Angel Pick Up.

Another role of angels, is to protect and minister to those who are left behind. I am the recipient of this ministry.

Angels are ministering servants deployed by God to actively assist, protect, and care for believers.

My husband prepared for this moment for years by trusting Jesus as his Savior, getting to know God through His Word, and loving others.

Even though I hurt with a hurt that I cannot even articulate - a Devastating Hurt that is shared with my boys, girls, and grandchildren - I am hopeful and comforted.

Our desire as a family is to bring glory to God, our Father and to lead others into relationship with Jesus.

Knowing and loving Him throughout your life - you will immediately fall into His arms when tragedy hits.

You know it by fact. Feelings will come later.

Yes, “He will give His angels orders concerning you, to protect you in all your ways.” Psalm 91:11 CSB

Elisha asked God (2 Kings 6:27-20) to open the eyes of his servant, so that he could see the host of Angels around him.

I haven’t seen them, but I know they are there.

Thank you, Jesus!

For the out pouring of love to our family through words, material, blessings, and the “ministry of presence” we are all truly thankful.
